| As stated previously, where a group leader has been requested on the booking form you are in close proximity. This doesn’t mean the site numbers are sequential, they may be across the road, back to back or next door. If you paid attention in kindergarten you could colour in your group’s sites!
Another recent query – I’m not getting the Crow Chronicle. If someone you know has unsubscribed themselves, we can’t resubscribe them without their consent. Please send an email asking to resubscribe and we will send a link to enable them to do that. It may have been accidental or deliberate but that’s what makes this particular form of mail-out professional, you should not be spammed.
In the next few weeks we will be advising both the Crafty Crows and Daddy Day Care classes for 2020. Both activities operate on Saturday and Sunday (Monday is open day and markets) Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday is the finishing off day where you need to consult with the tutors as to their availability if you have an ongoing problem with your project.
If some particular project really really appeals and you must just do it, then you can pre-book to secure your place in that class. In some cases you will need to prepay, in other instances you can pay on site. Photos will be available in the newsletter of the technique or finished object with the quantity of kits available.
For the benefit of our “fledglings” ….
Crafty Crows has a set timetable where tutors will be available, e.g. Saturday 10.30 am to 12.30 pm might be an art class, diamond painting, crochet and hand sewing, then there will be another session from 2 pm to 4 pm will be another set of classes with the same or different tutors. As well, there is also “Stitch ‘n’ Bitch” where you can BYO project or extend your socialisation time on the class project.
Daddy Day Care has a slightly different setup – it operates in a separate marquee from 10 am to 4 pm and there are multiple tutors for the various kits so you can come and go most of the time with whatever project or projects you are working on. There are no structured class times.
All our tutors do need lunch and toilet breaks so please be kind to them all as they are totally volunteers and have prepared all the kits for your projects.
As we are now only 10 weeks out before the flock comes in to nest, the Crow Chronicle will arrive far more regularly in your mail box. It will also be available on the website if you need to catch up on any previous issues.
There are still unpowered sites available. Any powered site cancellations will be offered to those on the waiting list for CPAP machines and the like in the first instance. If you have a specific need for power, please email so we can make sure you are on that list. These sites may not be near your friends but that’s the trade off for getting power.
As per the booking form terms and conditions, we have now confirmed all the infrastructure, entertainers and their travel/accommodation requirements, hire of the grounds and are finalising the food vendors. Merchandise is all ordered, trophies for the gReyVee Awards, the Wagga Wagga Council hamper for shopper dockets (yes please keep your dockets for the period from April 1 so we can see the tourism dollars that we contribute). The program is well underway and will be available sometime in March once all the seminars are finalised.
So it’s been a busy period over the last few weeks and ramps up even more from now …. so watch your mail box for the latest.
Till then – travel safely, support bushfire affected businesses if you can during those travels and we look forward to seeing you at the nesting of the flock.
