Caw Caw – Happy New Year to all our flock.

We hope you had a restful Christmas, didn’t overeat (well at least too much) and are now ready for another fantastic year.

Once again apologies to anyone who was inconvenienced by my inconvenience of tripping in a crochet rug and breaking bones in my toe, resulting in hospital, stitches and pins!  If you rang during that period and haven’t had a response, please email and definitely we will sort out any issues.

Balance of payment for 2019 : There are a few people who haven’t responded to text or email – please arrange the balance due as Jean and I have finalised the new site map (with some more powered sites now available). There was a reminder in the previous Crow Chronicle early in December.

Similarly there were 48 bookings which did not put their vehicle lengths as requested.  Again a lot of chasing up.  We don’t know if you have changed your vehicle from year to year so you need to keep filing in that information.

Site allocation will start later this week and if full payment hasn’t been made, we can’t allocate your site. This usually takes about a week to sort out who wants restricted mobility, who has power, what lengths in various groups will fit to best advantage and a multitude of other requests.  Remember because of limitations on the size of the grounds, no site is guaranteed each year.  We will endeavour to put you in the approximate area but again that is dependant on the factors mentioned above.

FIRST TIMERS
If you haven’t been to what many people think is the best grey nomad festival around, you are eligible to come in on Thursday afternoon.  Your site will remain exactly the same if you are in a group, you will still be with your mates who have been before.

It can be intimidating to arrive with 1000 plus other people and not know where to find what or where to go.  For that reason, our every helpful siting team will put you where you belong.  Then you can come and meet our friendly Crow Pam, and the Information girls who will give you the welcome pack, program, etc .  After that, go for a walk to orientate yourselves before coming back to the Club House where you can have happy hour with our fantastic volunteers.

IT IS CRITICAL YOU LET US KNOW YOU WANT TO COME IN ON THURSDAY AFTERNOON so we can adjust your Squawkers’ Permit (entry pass) to show the correct day and time.  If you don’t let us know  it will show Friday along with the majority of the flock.

PLEASE EMAIL AND MAKE SURE YOU PUT YOUR NAME/S SO WE CAN MATCH IT AGAINST YOUR INDIVIDUAL BOOKING.

Anzac Day Commemoration – part of our Thursday program will include a commemorative service of thanks to all who have served in all theatres of war to give us this wonderful lifestyle we all cherish.  Part of the Crafty Crows activities will include creating red and purple poppies (for humans and animals) and Daddy Day Care will have a timber poppy wreath.

We have also created a special limited edition polo shirt.. The exact colour of the collar has yet to be decided. Our shirt maker is doing a mock-up at present and depending on how that looks as to what colour collar will be decided, probably a blue/grey tone or black.  The pocket will have Stone the Crows Festival with our Crow Logo and the words “Lest We Forget”.

If you would like to order one of these shirts, you need to fill out the email form on the website.  Cost will be subsidised at $30 per shirt sublimate printed and you can either pay in full for collection at the Festival or pay a non refundable $15 deposit with the balance to be paid at the Merchandise Shop on arrival.

Closing date for orders will be January 10, 2019.  ORDERS CAN BE MADE THROUGH THE WEBSITE – LINK HERE

If you have ordered, you will receive a confirmation in the next few days.

Back to catching up and looking forward to a great time again in 2019.

From now on the Crow Chronicle will obviously be more frequent …. so watch your mail boxes and hopefully we won’t end up in the junk bin!

Till next time, take care and travel safely
Chrissy, Jim, Grant and our wonderful team who make it all happen.
