FANTASTIC NEWS - We have added yet ANOTHER concert by a major Aussie act to the already packed evening program for 2016!

PETE DENAHY has agreed to come to Stone The Crows and will do a full concert on the WEDNESDAY NIGHT after the renewal of marriage vows and Wagga Men's Choir performance.

Pete Denahy

Pete expressed his interest in seeing how Stone The Crows works and was 'talked into' doing a show. This means Jim's 'Couples Quiz' will be postponed to next year.

Jim said he is devastated to have his quiz show shelved for 2016, after being sacked from the Trivia night. 'I've always thought of myself as a potential Larry Emdur type,' Jim said, 'now my big break will have to wait!'

The compensation is that Jim will be able to catch up with Pete again - the two of them toured together in both Jim's touring show AND the Slim Dusty Show many moons ago, when Pete was just a lad. Pete has also played on several of Jim's albums.

'Pete Denahy is a unique talent in Australian entertainment,' Jim said, 'his humour and musical talent will knock your socks off!' Pete will also be special guest on the morning show on Thursday.

INTRODUCING PETE DENAHY
Pete Denahy is a comedian and bluegrass musician from Yackandandah in Victoria. He grew up Japan as a young child and later in an isolated area of the high country of the Snowy Mountains, where he and his two brothers and one sister were home schooled by his ex-schoolmaster father and his Japanese mother.

Pete is a songwriter and singer whose show includes serious ballads, ridiculous stories, novelty songs and amazing musicianship. He wrote the 'teenager anthem everyone relates to' Sort Of Dunno Nothin', which went viral on YouTube.

Pete is one of Australia's most accomplished folk and country musicians and has won Golden Guitar trophies for his instrumental tracks. He has played fiddle, guitar, mandolin and accordion on many albums as a professional studio musician and toured with Slim Dusty, Sara Storer, Troy Cassar-Daley and Lee Kernaghan.

Pete has always had a very quirky and original sense of humour, both as a songwriter and stand up comic. He wrote such classics and The Cantakerous Gramaphone, Petrol Head Fly and Dung Beetle Song and he has worked in the Melbourne comedy scene with Akmahl Saleh, Elliot Goblet and Flacco.

Being half Japanese, Pete draws much inspiration from his late grandfather, Kido Zenichi (木戸  å…¨ä¸€ ) who was a well respected musician, composer and conductor in Hiroshima. In 2013 Pete travelled Japan and played bluegrass and country music with some of the finest musicians in that country.

Pete's main inspiration in the business of entertainment is Geoff Mack, the man who wrote I've Been Everywhere. Geoff, now 92, has been Pete's mentor since 1991 and is one of his best friends.
